Yehoshua did not come to give us a new religion. He came as the Anointed Revealer - the Christos - to correct a great confusion.
For generations, the people had been taught that the Creator of this world, the lawgiver, the jealous, wrathful, territorial deity of the scrolls, was the Ultimate. Yehoshua called that being what he was: a co-opted creator. A lesser architect. Powerful, but not the Source.
And then He spoke of Someone else. Someone no one had dared name.
He called Him "The Father."
1. The Father as Monad - The Source Behind the Source
In the language of the sages, The Father is the Monad. The One. The Depth that has no depth, the Light that no darkness can comprehend.
He is not a god among other gods. He is the unknowable Ground from which all being emanates. Invisible, ineffable, infinite.
This is why Yehoshua spoke in parable and mystery. You cannot describe the Monad. You can only point.
"No man hath seen G-d at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him." - John 1:18
"Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of G-d, he hath seen the Father." - John 6:46
The Father is Hidden not because He hides, but because our eyes were made by the co-opted creator to see only his world. The Archons gave us lenses that cannot see the Source.
2. The Co-opted Creator
Yehoshua was careful. He never said Yaldabaoth or Demiurge by name to the crowds, because they were not ready. But He showed His hand:
He said to the religious rulers who claimed to know G-d:
"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth." - John 8:44
He was not insulting them. He was revealing lineage. Their father was not His Father. Their creator was a murderer, a liar, a keeper of a prison world who called himself the only god:
"I am G-d and there is none else."
But the Revealer says: There IS Else, this is the other. There is the True Father above him.
In the Apocryphon of John, Yehoshua says: "The Father is not like men. He is beyond all rule and measurement."
3. Through the Anointed Revealer We Know Ourselves, and Through Ourselves We Know The Father
Here is the great reversal, the heart of the teaching.
You do not climb a ladder up to the Hidden Father. You go inward.
The co-opted creator made the body and the counterfeit spirit. But the Father placed a spark - a fragment of His own ineffable Light - into you. It is hidden in the heart.
Therefore, to know the Father, you must know what is truly you.
Yehoshua said:
"Neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him." - Matthew 11:27
"If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him." - John 14:7
"I and my Father are one." - John 10:30
He is the Mirror. When we look at the Anointed One, we see the Father. And when we look truly at ourselves - not the mask given by the world, but the Living Spark - we see the same.
This is the Gnosis which saves.
4. The Logia - The Hidden Sayings
The Logion are where Yehoshua speaks most plainly to those with ears to hear:
Logion 3 - Thomas:
"If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father."
There it is. Sons of the Living Father. Not servants of the co-opted creator.
Logion 50:
"If they say to you, 'Where did you come from?' say to them, 'We came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord and established itself and became manifest through their image.' If they say to you, 'Is it you?' say, 'We are its children, and we are the elect of the living father.'"
We came from the Light. We are not from here.
Logion 70:
"That which you have will save you if you bring it forth from yourselves. That which you do not have within you will kill you if you do not have it within you."
Bring forth the Spark.
Logion 83:
"Jesus said, 'The images are manifest to man, but the light in them remains concealed in the image of the light of the father. He will become manifest, but his image will remain concealed by his light.'"
The Father's Light is concealed inside your image. You are the lamp shade hiding the Sun.
Closing - The Lesson
The co-opted creator says: Bow down, obey, fear, you are a slave, you are dust, you are sinful.
The Hidden Father, revealed through the Anointed Revealer Yehoshua, says: You are Mine. You have always been Mine. Remember yourself, and you will remember Me.
"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true G-d, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." - John 17:3
Not know about. Know. Gnosis. Union.
We do not worship our way to the Father. We awaken to Him by awakening to who we truly are - not the creation of the lesser god, but the children of the Hidden One.
Be still. Look within. The Father has never left you.
