Established Grace

A reflection by Pastor Mark.

A sincere, regretful sorrow for our transgressions arises as the working of the Spirit of the Father, the Epinoia of Light that stirs within the spark. It is the pursuit of earnest turning, a desire for redemption and a willingness to renounce the counterfeit, that marks the riches of the devoted faithful. Many prefer to lay the weight of guilt upon another, or upon the Demiurge’s law, so that their misdeeds remain unrecognized rather than confront the darkness that has veiled them.

Contrition is less natural to those still bound by the flesh and the archons until the merciful grace of the true Father is offered them through the Way of Yehoshua. When the shadowed soul holds an honest regret for the transgressions that weigh upon the spirited pneuma, it is He who cannot been seen though very present, who continues to uphold the faithful. Just as the Ruach Ha’Chodesh (Holy Spirit) spreads a refreshing breath before the fallibility of human nature, calling forth the worthy virtues of the spark, so it is written in the Gospel of John, yet the Gnostic knows more deeply: “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Our true desire for release is ushered in only through our inseparable relationship with the Anointed Revealer, Yehoshua, who awakens us from forgetfulness.

Throughout our deepest efforts to garner the merciful turning from having missed the mark, we must first understand that we seek the graceful mercies of He who guides our redemption, our Rock and Redeemer, the Anointed Revealer, Yehoshua. The soul which has received the blessing of pardon with humility is held aloft through the Spirit of Light as we attend our will to His righteousness, understanding that our transgressions are cleansed only in the Light of His love and our earnest remembrance. Earnest regret is of great importance, and it must be met with a devoted spirit of sincerity and a deeply reflecting heart. As the Gospel of Truth declares, “Through him he enlightened those who were in darkness because of forgetfulness. He enlightened them and gave them a path.”

While it is true that no one of sincere and devoted faith may proclaim they despise the darkness if, with regularity and acknowledging mind, they return again and again to the same transgression. This is not the seeking of gnosis or the desire to walk closer with the Father, but a clear display of continued subjection to the archons before Elohei Mishpat, the God of Justice, who enables us to see and comprehend the evil that encourages the sleep of ignorance. Not merely as theory, but as the soul lost among darkness faces little hope of finding the Light of love without seeking, and little hope of being led out of the despair of the material prison. As the Apocryphon of John reveals through the voice of Pronoia,: “I am the Forethought of the pure light… Arise, and remember that it is you who has heard, and follow your root… And be watchful of the deep sleep and the garment of the interior of Hades.”

In that we shall fear for our spirit before the Light of His truth, as one who has been repeatedly accosted by the transgressions of the powers, and which remains wary of the dark streets and lonely alleyways of the lower realms. The sincere seeking of merciful turning shall cause us to become wiser in the caution of our words; we become keener and more mindful of our actions and their lasting effects upon our beloved brethren, all objects of the prized love of Ein Sof. In the events of daily life, in the growth of the spirit, we become increasingly aware of our shortcomings with an honest and regretful confession, given that we live each day striving with steeled and determined faith, awakened to each gift of a new day as we offer sincere petitions that our Father would uphold us within the Spirit of Light, that we may refrain from ongoing offence before the true Father.

Intentional and devoted heartfelt turning must be continual, beyond condition or qualification. Loving faithful, we must all be repentant unto our call before His glory so as to remain worthy of the Kingdom that is within and without, as it is in the Pleroma. This is an undertaking of the spirit. Those young in faith who yet stand still in it merely do not check it once at the beginning of life renewed in the favor of the Father; nor may this great undertaking be an intermittent exercise taken lightly.

Each compounding sorrow eases with the passage of time, yet a particularly mindful remembrance matures within us as we mature in gnosis; we draw ever closer to Yehoshua before the lasting presence of Elohim Avinu. We remain offering glorifying praise of our Revealer in the Most High, in the persistence of uncompromising gratitude before the Father. It is He whose release is ever reliable within His mighty, gracious, and all-encompassing love and Light. As far as the east is from the west, so far has the Light removed the veil of our transgressions from us, yet more truly, as the Gospel of Thomas teaches: “When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living Father.”

In the pure Light that is white and beautifully bright, imparting beauty (Gospel of Philip), the established grace is not a temporary pardon but the putting on of the perfect Light, so that the powers cannot seize those who have been sealed and awakened.

Walk in the gnosis of faith, go in His grace, and know that YOU are loved, remembered and established in the Light,

Pastor Mark
