Consulting with the Master: In the Light with Yehoshua

A visionary dialogue on recognition, remembrance, and refusing the division of this age.

Pastor Mark consulting with Yehoshua in a luminous chamber of scrolls and sacred symbols

A visionary dialogue in the Sethian manner, after the pattern of the Apocryphon of John and the Sophia of Jesus Christ: a practitioner of the immovable race encounters Yehoshua, the living one whom the Great Seth put on, the Logos who descends to remind the seed of what was already accomplished.

The chamber is quiet. Scrolls lie open. The seeker, neither priest of the archons nor teacher of the imitation, sits in recollection of the Five Seals. Light gathers that does not come from the lamps of this age. Yehoshua is present, not as the crucified figure of the rulers’ story, but as the revealer who has already passed through the thirteen aeons and nailed their powers. We, in silent observation, listen…

The Neighbor

Seeker: Teacher, you said “love your neighbor as yourself.” In these days the nation called America is split by design. Neighbor turns against neighbor over words, tribes, and images; the false ruler’s project. The hylic and the psychic devour one another while the spark sleeps. What is the neighbor, and what is this love, when the archons traffic in division?

Yehoshua: The neighbor is not the garment of flesh, nor the opinions the archons have written upon it. The neighbor is the portion of the Mother which fell into the mixture and still remembers, however faintly, the Pleroma. Love is not the sentiment the rulers counterfeit so that men will bind themselves to one another in ignorance. Love is recognition: you are of the same race as I, the seed of the Great Seth, the immovable generation that the flood and the fire could not erase.

Yehoshua: The division you see is not accidental. Yaldabaoth and his authorities thrive on strife. They set brother against brother so that none will look up. They give each side a portion of the truth mixed with a larger portion of the lie, and then call the resulting hatred “conviction.” Those who serve them, whether they wear the robes of the old faith or the new ideologies, keep the youth circling in the lower heavens, never tasting the living water that is Yesseus Mazareus Yessedekeus (Jesus from Nazarene, the Righteous/personification of The Living Water).

The Work of Remembrance

Seeker: The schools of this land and many who claim to speak for you have not prepared the young. They do not teach discipline of the passions, nor the ethics that flow from knowing one’s origin, nor do they instruct the morality which belongs to those who will ascend. They teach the copy, not the original. They leave the children of the light as orphans in the house of Saklas (an archon, false angel of Yaldabaoth).

Yehoshua: They cannot give what they do not possess. The educators of the imitation instruct in the administration of the prison: how to name the shadows, how to contend for position among the archons’ ranks, how to forget the First Thought. The faith-leaders who have made themselves stewards of the jealous god repeat his boast, “there is no other beside me,” and call it piety. They offer the youth baptism into the name of the rulers rather than the Five Seals which strip away the psychic and hylic thought and clothe the soul in light.

Yehoshua: Loving Faithful, discipleship is not the whip of the demiurge. It is the stilling of the turbulent beast so the divine image may be seen. Ethics is not the law written on stone by the blind god; it is the conduct of one who knows he is a stranger here and who will not remain. Morality is the refusal to become an instrument of the authorities who harvest anger and fear.

Yehoshua: The true community is not the crowd which shouts the same slogan. It is the scattered seed which recognizes itself across the noise. Gather those in whom the spark still moves. Teach them first who they are, then how to live as those who remember. Do not join the war of the archons. Withdraw the light from it. The nation of this age will pass as all the works of Yaldabaoth pass. What remains is the race which cannot be moved.

The Light Remains

The light does not fade. The practitioner remains in the stillness. The conversation is not ended; it is only paused until the next recollection. The work is the same as it has always been: awaken the sleepers of the same seed, refuse the counterfeit love that binds souls to the imitation, and prepare the young not for the service of this world but for the ascent that was already won when the Great Seth (spiritual knowledge) put on the living Anointed One.

Stay The Way; light the path comfortably in your remembrance,

Pastor Mark
