"Hell, the Lake of Fire, Valley of the Damned"
Understanding Condemnation

Hell, the Lake of Fire, Valley of the Damned....
We call it ‘hell’, in Hebrew the concept is Sheol; The Greek word used is “Gehenna” or Gehinnom (גֵיא־הִנֹּם Gēʾ-Hīnnōm, literally; 'Valley of Hinnom'). The Valley it was cursed by the biblical prophet Jeremiah;
“Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests; And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee, And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the G-d of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle. Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents; They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind: Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter. -{Book of Yirmeyah/Jeremiah 19:1-6}
Gehinnom became associated with divine punishment in Jewish Apocalypticism as the destination of the wicked. It is different from the more neutral term Sheol, the abode of the dead. Today, The Valley of Hinnom is the name for the valley surrounding the Old City of Jerusalem and the adjacent Mount Zion from the west and south. In Judaism, the term Gehinnom is used for the realm in which the wicked expiate their sins.
The apostle Saul (Paul) stated; “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:” – {Book of Marcos/Mark 9:43} The Book of Mattiyahu/Matthew quotes the phrase “weeping and gnashing of teeth” from Y’shua on six occasions; (8:12; 13:42; 13:50; 22:13; 24:45; 25:30). In his letter to the Thessalonians, Saul appears to say that unbelievers will be shut out from the presence of Hashem: “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not G-d, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;” – {Book of Tasloniqim II/2 Thessalonians 1:8-9}
Gehinnom ('Valley of Hinnom'), The Valley of Hinnom, name for the valley surrounding the Old City of Jerusalem and the adjacent Mount Zion from the west and south and is first mentioned in the Torah in the Book of Yehoshua/Joshua {5:18}. it was the site of the Tophet, where some of the kings of Judah had sacrificed their children by fire {Book of Yirmeyah/Jeremiah 7:31).
Thereafter, it was cursed by the biblical prophet Jeremiah (Book of Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 19:2–6) Gehinnom became associated with divine punishment in Jewish Apocalypticism as the destination of the wicked and is different from the more neutral term Sheol, the abode of the dead. The King James Bible translates both with the Anglo-Saxon word, hell.
Above, we must take notice note of the original Greek word Saul used. In the verse from Revelation, the Sword for “presence” (enopion) specifically refers to a proximity, or “within one’s sight.” In Thessalonians, Saul used the word 'prosopon', which refers to the face or countenance of another. In other words, an inability to look upon the face ofElohim. It means the complete absence of any blessing as a direct result of a lack of any relationship with Elohim.
In the Book of Mattiyahu/Matthew[13:41], Y’shua reminds us “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
We recount the visit of the three angels as given in the Book of Hhazon/Revelation 14:10 as we discover “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of G-d, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:”
